Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manufacturing analysis, including expense management, variance analysis, and budget comparisons.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of bills of material (BOM) and router setups.
- Develop and maintain financial reports using tools such as Microsoft Access and Crystal Reports.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data from databases, with the ability to write complex queries and manipulate data sets.
- Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring proper account classifications and adherence to GAAP.
- Conduct inventory reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in reporting inventory levels, normal balances, and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and support decision-making.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements and cost reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Experience with relational databases and the ability to write queries (not just execute pre-existing ones).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, or other database tools.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory accounting.
- Knowledge of journal entries, expense reporting, and financial reconciliation.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
