Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and maintaining a well-organized shipping area.
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to schedule.
- Verify and inspect outgoing goods to ensure they match orders.
- Coordinate with couriers and shipping companies for timely delivery.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and request supplies when necessary.
- Track and report shipment statuses and discrepancies.
- Assist with receiving and sorting incoming shipments as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to operate pallet jack and other warehouse equipment (if required).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and shipment tracking.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
