Position Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Plant Quality Control Technician to join our team at Minova’s new facility in Tooele, UT. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining Minova’s high-quality standards by overseeing quality assurance activities and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality control initiatives within the plant to ensure products meet Minova’s rigorous standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing the ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other performance standards.
- Analyze quality control test results and recommend process improvements.
- Generate detailed reports from quality control tests and present actionable insights.
- Support the continuous improvement of quality, cost, and efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain thorough documentation in line with the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with external teams to provide data and support for customer requirements.
- Manage calibration of equipment and tools at scheduled intervals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access databases.
- Familiarity with electronic document monitoring systems.
- Minimum of a High School diploma (further education in quality management is a plus).
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel production.
- Strong knowledge of steel quality control techniques and methods.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commercial orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and adapt to change.
