Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or related field along with 2+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all purchasing related activities between OEM and automotive parts suppliers (this is not a purchasing role)
- Meet with and direct suppliers on a regular basis in the areas of Cost, Development, Quality, Delivery, Management, and Safety to determine and optimize progress and discuss current & future activities.
- Select, develop, and manage supply base for production parts, components, and systems by preparing RFQ’s for multi-year full production quantities (as required), negotiating long term agreements, maintaining competitive pricing, and leading yearly cost reduction activities.
- Analyze supplier timelines for new part development: Verify supplier tooling, packaging, dimensional, shipping, testing, etc.
- Achieve Supplier Quality Targets by managing key supplier performance indexes and Manage supplier troubleshooting and analyze non-conforming parts and generate corrective actions.
