Position Overview:
Minova is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at our Tooele facility. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and technical support for our steel roof bolts, plates, bonding resins, and powdered chemicals production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency, ensuring that all machinery and equipment run smoothly with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for plant and equipment.
- Collaborate with operations to schedule repairs and maintenance with minimal downtime.
- Apply 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Kaizen and Poka-Yoke (error-proofing).
- Provide leadership, training, and support to the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed to high standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, implementing cost-effective solutions to improve reliability.
- Monitor performance, ensuring that all equipment produces high-quality products.
- Ensure budgetary compliance for maintenance-related expenses.
- Occasionally travel to support sister plants and projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in a relevant technical field or Journeyman Electrician, Millwright, or Tool and Die Maker.
- Experience: 5+ years in an industrial maintenance environment, with 3+ years leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of electrical motor controls, PLC programming, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Experience with project management and maintenance scheduling.
- Proficiency in SH&E procedures and a strong understanding of maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
