Role Overview
As a Shipping Clerk at Minova, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our products reach customers on time and in perfect condition. You will develop and implement efficient shipping processes that are cost-effective and meet our high standards of quality. This role is pivotal in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding Minova’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Health, Environment & Security:
- Promote a culture of safety by attending regular training and adhering to safety policies.
- Investigate and report any incidents, ensuring preventative measures are in place.
- Maintain full compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Order Processing:
- Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and Bills of Lading.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries using PLS software.
Packaging and Quality Control:
- Conduct visual inspections of outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Address any packaging or labeling issues to prevent delays or errors.
- Document shipments with photographs for accurate record-keeping.
Teamwork & Leadership:
- Maintain exemplary attendance and model a strong commitment to the team.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement meetings and training.
- Foster a collaborative environment, contributing to team goals and initiatives.
Metrics for Success
- Adherence to Safety, Health, Environment & Security (SHE&S) standards.
- Zero damage to materials and equipment.
- Active participation in safety meetings and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Effective 5S participation and ownership.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Current Forklift license is a must.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with shipping software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
