Maintenance Technician – Incinerator
Hourly Pay: $ 30
Shift: 1st – 5a-1:30p M-F
Location: Apopka, FL
Position Type: 3 months to permanent hire

Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic evaluation on equipment and makes repairs when needed. Ensures that repairs are performed properly in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
- Performs preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance daily on a variety of machinery within the plant. This machinery includes:
- Fire tube boiler and Ancillary equipment
- Steam delivery systems
- Water softeners and other water treatment equipment
- Air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
- Incinerator process equipment/systems maintenance, including burners, CEMs, High temperature refractory, controls, PLC, combustion air blowers, pressure controls, and conveyance systems.
- Steam turbine and electrical generator systems.
- Air pollution control devices, including bag houses, evaporative coolers, acid absorbers, and carbon beds.
- General air pneumatics, including an air compressor, regulators, solenoid valves, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps, and related systems.
- Performs light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/240V/120V/24V power systems. PLC and light robotics troubleshooting, and Maintenance experience is helpful.
- Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy, and efficient facility and vigorously support company commitment to Safety.
- Documents results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Education
- Associate degree or the equivalent of 3 or more years of work experience
- 3+ years related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify and perform repairs which are needed and to ensure scheduled production run.
- Having boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license is helpful.
MUST HAVES:
- Forklift experience, man-lifts and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities.
- Experience with the performance of lockout/tagout and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities.
- Experience with general air pneumatics, including air compressor operation and maintenance, regulator replacement, solenoid valve replacement, 2-way & 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps, and general system troubleshooting.
- Be able to use soldering/brazing torches, and acetylene torches for cutting steel.
- Be able to use a welder to fuse carbon steel and perform repairs.
EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Demonstrate the ability to use all power tools associated with metal machining to include Power drills, chop saws, reciprocating saw, grinders, and pneumatic hammers.
- Knowledge of how to maintain a hydraulic system and the ability to read hydraulic flow diagrams is preferred.
- The ability to weld stainless steel or higher alloys and to operate a TIG welder is a plus.
