Warehouse Safety Lead

• Perform daily inspections of the warehouse, yard, and office areas as it pertains to safety.
• Assist in providing associates with safety-related information such as, new hire orientation, emergency protocols, proper use of safety equipment, etc.
• Review along with supervision existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date.
• observing the company's daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
• Observing associates performing their job duties and report any unsafe conditions or acts.
• Assist in Safety Slogan and Good catch incentive programs.
• Assist in Near miss and injury reporting.
• Encourage associates to work safely.
• Assist in facilitating monthly safety meetings.
• Participate in quarterly safety committee meetings.

Safety Leader Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices in the workplace..
• Strong communication and teamwork skills..
• Prepare agendas, give presentations, and make other arrangements for safety meetings.
• Attend safety training sessions or committee meetings.
• Review operating practices and procedures and make suggestions on whether improvements can be made in the areas of safety and risk avoidance.
• Interpret safety and operating policies and procedures for associates.
