Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Driver for a lighting manufacturing company located in Northbrook, IL. The material Handler/Forklift Driver will be responsible for processing materials to support production by performing various duties such as receiving, stocking, loading/unloading, and shipping materials and supplies. This position requires operating a Sit-down Forklift.
Highlights:
- Payrate $19.00/hr.
- 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30PM/ Friday 8am-4:30pm
- 2nd Shift:
- Temp-to-Perm
Responsibilities:
- Supports production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete orders
- Supports receiving department by verifying invoices and supplies
- Verifies and maintains product count
- Prepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts
- Performs weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary
- Obtains, moves, sorts and packages products and materials
- Operates forklift daily for unloading finished goods off racks and placing them in inventory and or placing material in other related manufacturing areas
- Performs other related work as directed by supervision
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Sit-down Forklift minimum of 1 year experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format
- Ability to reason and address problems
- Ability to lift 30-40lbs
- Must be able to work overtime as needed and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods at a time
