A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L/D nurse for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and CA License.

– Unit: L&D/PP – Perinatal
– # L&D Beds: 11 beds – # triage beds: 8 beds
– # births per day, per year: 3300 per year
– Certs: NRP, BLS, ACLS, Fetal monitoring (advanced) all required
– Ratios: they follow AWOHNN guidelines
– FHM System: Fetal Link
– EMR: Cerner –
– Tele: Nihon Kohden
– OB/Neonatologist in house: OB attending 24 hrs
– C-section experience required: must have experience with circulating, scrubbing preferred
– Floating: L&D floats to antepartum
– Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 20 weeks and above, high risk – blood pressure, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, Substance abuse, etc.
– Additional Notes: 13th Largest center for births in California, must have 4 years experience or more in L&D, must also have experience with high risk deliveries and be familiar with pitocin, mag sulfate, insulin drips, etc. travel experience is preferred
